Sewing update

I just finished making a messenger bag that I saw in a sewing magazine. I didn't do it exactly like in the article, like I used a snap instead of velcro, and I sewed my straps different (and easier, yet they will be sturdier) than they said, but I like mine better.

I just love the fabric! I think it is so pretty.

 

I am also trying to hurry and finish sewing a quilt for my mom. Hopefully I can get it done before she comes to visit. It's from a jellyroll and charm pack of different fabric, so it's a little "busy" looking, but I like the blues and paisley designs in it, that's why I picked it. I'll post it as soon as I can get it finished.
