My mom came up for a visit this past week. We had the most wonderful time together! The night she arrived we drove to Peaks of Otter Lodge in the mountains, and besides the lake being drained for repairs, it was beautiful and so peaceful! We spent the night then tried to find the spot in the Blue Ridge Mountains where Robert proposed, but we went North when we were supposed to go South- oh well! She still got to see the scenery that we saw when he proposed. :-) We did quite a lot of shopping while she was here, she fixed up my front "beds" with some new plants, and we went to The Boat House for dinner last night which she absolutely fell in love with! We had such a great time, I was not happy when I had to drop her off at the airport, but I can look forward to her next visit in October for my birthday!

Emma is so in love with Mimi! Mimi isn't so sure about her grand-dog being in her bed though....
